Asharqia Chamber Calls to Suspend the Decree until Studying its Effects
Asharqia Chamber called to suspend the enforcement of the Ministry of Labor decree which sets forth to increase the cost of expatriate worker to charge 200 Riyals a month (2400 Riyals annually) for all private sector institutions in which expatriate workers outnumber Saudi workers until studying its impact on economic sectors.
Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Rashid, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, chaired the province's businessmen meeting which was attended the Chamber's board members and heads of committees yesterday Sunday November 18th, 2012. The meeting discussed the decree which was described as having a negative impact on business sector and national development.
